Nokia had in March announced partnerships with Airtel and BSNL for preparing 5G networks in India, and now according to a report in Economic Times, the company has MOUs with both players. Airtel, BSNL will currently be testing the technology with Nokia's help, which is providing the network solutions. Nokia and BSNL will be conducting joint 5G demonstrations across India. Nokia is also partnering with Airtel for this 5G ecosystem development as well.

The Economic Times reports that Nokia lumia has signed a memorandum of understandings (MoUs) with Indian telecom giants Airtel and BSNL. Sanjay Malik, head of India market at Nokia told the paper that the idea behind these pacts is to introduce 5G in the country and see what are the steps required for the same. While the penetration of 4G in the Indian market has been tepid, there is much scepticism towards the adoption of 5G in India.
