Finnish company HMD Global has unveiled its latest Nokia-branded smartphone, and this time it's a true flagship aiming to win over fans of Samsung and Apple. In contrast to the mid-to-low spec phones HMD has produced so far, the Nokia 8 is powered by the high-end Snapdragon 835 processor, packs 4GB of RAM and its 5.3-inch, Quad HD display is protected by Gorilla Glass 5. Like the company's existing Nokia phones, the 8 will also run a clean, current version of Android with updates being made available as Google releases them. HMD's newest Nokia comes in blue, copper and silver and is its first true flagship phone. In its marketing, HMD describes this "Dual-Sight" feature as "less Selfie, more Bothie".

Finnish phone maker HMD Global on Wednesday announced the Nokia 8, its latest smartphone to use the once-dominant Nokia brand, and its first aimed at the more premium side of the market — in Europe, at least. The device looks like a fairly typical flagship phone in most respects: It's got a strong chipset, a sharp display, dual cameras, and the like. The one unusual feature of the Nokia 8 is something HMD calls "Dual-Sight." This lets you shoot photos and photos using the front- and rear-facing cameras at the same time. HMD is trying to call images taken with this camera mode "bothies." As in, a selfie, but with images from both sides.
