Nokia starts show of digital health business, cuts jobs in Finland

according to HELSINKI (Reuters) - Finnish network gear producer Nokia phone has started a strategic show of its digital health business and reported further than 400 job cuts in its house country. Digital health, fraction of Nokia phone Technologies unit, is 1 of the areas where the firm had been looking for development opportunities amid a tough market for its mainstay telecom network gear business. The Finnish firm told its ‍patent business, brand partnerships and tech licensing units aren't in the scope of the review​. In 2016 Nokia phone purchased France's Withings, that makes activity trackers and thermometers, for 170 mn euros ($212.3 million)as an premier move in the health market. But the firm wrote drop 141 mn euros of goodwill on the business in the 3rd quarter of 2017.
