Nokia tells its edge cloud datasolution is an industry first. (Nokia)It's a cloud information center solution, based on x86, built and tailored to backing edge cloud deployment. "This could provide the capability at the edge of the network," and it's scalable from a single server to multiple racks. "The edge cloud is an integral fraction of 5G network architecture, bringing further processing capabilities closer to where information is generated and consumed," told Dan Rodriguez, vice president, information Center Group; general manager, Communications Infrastructure Division at Intel. "With AirFrame, Nokia phone and Intel are bringing the performance and capabilities of Intel architecture-based cloud information centers to the edge to deliver the optimal finish consumer trial for 5G deployments involving virtual reality, augmented fact and industrial automation."

Espoo, Finland-based Nokia phone has reported the launch of a new industry-first edge cloud information centre solution, specifically designed with the developing 5G market in mind. The unlock edge cloud platform, known as AirFrame, aims to optimise performance and lower costs for enterprises as they evolve their networks in preparation for 5G to launch in the coming months. See also:"The edge cloud going to play an essential role in delivering the compute power required for 5G," told Marc Rouanna, President of Mobile Networks at Nokia. "With AirFrame, Nokia phone and Intel are bringing the performance and capabilities of Intel architecture-based cloud information centers to the edge to deliver the optimal finish consumer trial for 5G deployments involving virtual reality, augmented fact and industrial automation," told Dan Rodriguez, Vice President of information Centre Group and General Manager of Communications Infrastructure Division at Intel. The launch of AirFrame expands Nokia's 5G aftertime X portfolio, offering leading information centre architecture, allowing operators to efficiently manage their information demands.

Nokia AirFrame edge computing meets unlock source

As it stated in Nokia announces its AirFrame unlock Edge computing server blade. The Airframe unlock Edge server is compact and Utilizes open-source Programming to manage network functions. The server is designed to cut latency with bringing computing closer to the customer in an edge cloud. The Airframe Utilizes Nokia's real-time OpenStack distribution, compatible with Linux unlock Platform for network function virtualization, that is designed to run in small information centers. Deliveries of the Nokia phone AirFrame unlock edge server begin in Q3 2018.

Nokia AirFrame edge computing meets unlock source

Nokia has released an edge cloud information centre solution to meet the diverse low-latency information processing requests of IoT and 5G applications, while at the same time addressing the emerging Cloud RAN (radio access network) market space. The Nokia phone AirFrame unlock edge cloud infrastructure expands the Nokia phone AirFrame portfolio to deliver a layered network architecture which "optimises performance and operator costs as they evolve their networks and prepare for 5G", told Nokia. Nokia is 1 of a number of leading vendors to pile into the edge computing market in response to the needs of IoT and 5G. So physically closer servers on the edge of networks are being rolled out for such purposes. In addition, Nokia phone "cloud-wise" services and cloud collaboration hubs going to be offered to help operators successfully outline and execute their edge cloud deployments.
