Nokia Technologies's $192m acquisition of Withings allows for Nokia's resurgence in user technology. Nokia going to benefit from Withings's brand, reputation, and expertise in connectivity, hardware, and software, with wearables in place of phones. Nokia Technologies's CEO, Ramzi Haidamus, soon stepped drop after 2 years of leading the firm and having overseen the Withings acquisition. Nokia Technologies experienced a 109% internet discounds raise and 105% gross profit year-on-year (YoY) raise in 3Q16 thanks to patent-licensing deals with HMD and Samsung. Nokia Corp. as a whole experienced a 7% internet discounds  relief and 2% gross profit  relief because of a 12% YoY  relief in internet discounds from its Networks business.

Once it had bought the French company, Nokia phone re-branded all the products, in spite of the reality that Withings did have some cachet in the digital health wearable business. Nokia effectively handed control of its health business to Withings. "We're paying for the company, however in reality it's Withings that's going to be running the entire digital health business at Nokia," Nokia phone President Ramzi Haidamus told Engadget at the time. Nokia's Digital Health business consists of smartwatches, scales, and digital health devices, generality of that (like the Activité) were originally developed with Withings. Nokia told previously that up to 425 people may be laid off from its Digital Health business.
