Black-ish stars suit up as Black Panther characters for special Halloween episode

There's probably no doubt in anyone's mind that Black Panther and the other notable residents of Wakanda (e.g. That's why ABC's sitcom Black-ish is fully embracing the Marvel-created phenomenon for the Halloween episode of its fifth season, "Scarred for Life." "The Halloween episode is gonna be fire," wrote Ellis Ross in her own tweet, depicting a selfie of herself and Scribner in costume. It was probably super easy for the show to get permission to use the Black Panther designs, as ABC is owned by Disney, which also owns Marvel Studios. The Goldbergs was able to snag the original Freddie Kreuger, Robert Englund, for a cameo in its own Halloween episode, "Mister Knifey-Hands."

As part of their Movie HQ page for Black Panther, Toys R Us has posted a bunch of character bios, including those for three of the wonderful women of Wakanda. The bios for Nakia, Okoye, and Shuri give each woman a full, realized character with motivations of her own, outside of T'Challa. However, if Marvel's previous treatment of women is any indicator, they'll likely still be confined to supporting roles. (We got an Ant-Man movie before we got a Black Widow movie, folks.) Here's hoping Kevin Feige will go ahead and greenlight that all-female Marvel movie already.

Following that, the Empire was shown thriving during the pages of Marvel Legacy, and the Rise of the Black Panther miniseries has shown that traveling to space isn't something T'Challa just thought of. Anyone who loved the latter's entrance in the final act of the Black Panther movie will love how he pops in during this rescue mission. The Black Panther Isn't the King of His Cosmic Empire

It will obviously depend on what villain the story calls for, but two big stars have already had their names thrown about for the sequel. Kendrick Lamar, who curated the soundtrack for Black Panther, has said he wants to be Killmonger, which is probably not an option, but perhaps he could play another villain. Also, even though he has already appeared in the MCU in Spider-Man: Homecoming, it was reported that Ryan Coogler was looking at Donald Glover to play the villain in the sequel.
